Townview Terrace Apartments in St. Marys, Ohio is owned and managed by Jill and Bill Luttmer. The business originally belonged to Jill’s late father, Thomas Ervin, who bought the complex in 1981. Since taking ownership in 2014, Jill has been very hands-on in managing and operating the complex. Substantial improvements consisting of interior and exterior renovations have been made over the years at the direction of Jill, her brother, Mitch and her husband, Bill, who are extremely grateful for the various contractors and maintenance teams who have worked with them to improve the complex and make it a great place to live.

“My father bought the complex in 1981, the year I graduated from high school. When he bought the complex, it was not finished
and only had six tenants. That summer, he hired me and my friend, Lisa to paint apartments so that they could
be rented. It was a lot of work, but provided us with a way to earn money before we went off to college.
Although my father was mentally sharp, the complex became a lot for him to handle due to his declining health,
so he decided to turn it over to me and my brother in 2014. We made numerous improvements to the complex
in the years that followed, including new siding, roof, windows, and landscaping.
We also updated the laundry facility and office.
In 2018, my brother decided to pursue other interests, so I bought his share and continued to improve the complex,
installing security cameras, replacing all patio and entry doors, and making extensive interior
renovations to the apartments, including new bathrooms.
Since 2018, I have managed the complex with my husband, Bill. We are very hands-on and accessible to our tenants."
